With one-third of the country contaminated by landmines and explosive remnants of war, the need for demining is substantial. Through the specialised training provided by FSD, Oleksandr and eleven other veterans have gained skills in operating drones, ground preparation machines, and detectors, contributing to humanitarian demining efforts. \u201cThis programme represents an opportunity for me to reintegrate, acquire new skills, and find a new purpose\u201d, Oleksandr concludes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
