2025 Activity Report

In 2025, against a backdrop of immense humanitarian needs worldwide, FSD continued its engagement across four continents. In the field, our teams remained close to affected communities, working to reduce the risks posed by landmines and explosive remnants of war and contribute to a safer and more sustainable future.

A message from the Director

In 2025, we had to adapt quickly to an increasingly unstable environment without losing sight of what matters most: making land safe, reducing risks for civilians and helping communities regain prospects for the future.

Concrete results and long-term impact

Conflict victims in Colombia were able to generate income and gain greater independence through the installation of hydroponic vegetable gardens.

Iraqi families were able to return home and rebuild their houses.

Children learned safe behaviours to protect themselves from explosive remnants of war.

Shepherds were able to graze their livestock again, while cleared fields are once again helping feed communities.

In Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan and the Philippines, local organisations are now fully trained and accredited to carry out humanitarian demining operations.

Young deaf girls in the Central African Republic gained skills in sewing and sign language.

Children can once again play safely in cleared schools and playgrounds.
