“From Bombs to Blooms” Campaign
These bombs won’t harm anyone — quite the opposite. By throwing them, we make a simple yet powerful gesture to raise awareness that landmines and explosive remnants of war continue to kill and maim. This symbolic action highlights the importance of humanitarian mine action in making it possible for life to return after conflict.

A minefield on one side, a blooming field on the other. The “From Bombs to Bloom” campaign is inspired by this transformation made possible through humanitarian demining.

Why Seed Bombs?
Every day, children play in areas contaminated by landmines. Farmers work land still hiding explosive remnants of war. In over 60 countries, landmines and explosive ordnance continue to kill, injure, and keep families living in fear. Like the “From Bombs to Blooms” campaign, humanitarian mine clearance allows life to return and fields to flourish again.
Our “From Bombs to Blooms” campaign is a simple, symbolic way to raise awareness about this often-forgotten reality. Because mine action doesn’t only happen in the field with a metal detector – it also depends on awareness, remembrance, and public engagement.
Get involved: make your own seed bombs, order pre-made ones ready to plant, or contact us to receive awareness-raising materials. Together, let’s sow life where fear once took root.
