Despite the challenging hot weather, FSD clearance teams in both Dibis and Makhmour Districts achieved excellent results during the month. In the Kubaiba village, Dibis District, a manual clearance team finished the clearance of a local cemetery during the month, where thirty-five mine victims are buried. Because of the dedication of our colleagues, the community members can now safely pay their respects to their loved ones. During this month, all staff took a one-week leave stand-down period.

Until now, the mechanical clearance team has finished the clearance of four buildings in Kharbani village, Makhmour District, effectively removing 10 improvised landmines and 6 unexploded ordnance, thus ensuring the future protection of the local villagers.

Conscientiously continuing their high-quality explosive ordnance risk education (EORE) awareness sessions, the EORE teams made efforts to reach out to women, girls, men, and boys in both Dibis and Makhmour Districts. Throughout the month, these valuable EORE sessions benefited 950 participants.
Through their drone reconnaissance activities in Dibis District, the non-technical survey (NTS) team aided our team leaders in confirming more explosive ordnances that needed to be cleared in their respective assigned hazard areas.
Continuation refresher training, safety toolbox topics, online training courses, 6-monthly render safe procedure recertification training assessment, and IM GIS Pro were all accomplished during the month.
